Max Planck-Humboldt Medal

Award

BETR co-Director Prof. Laura Waller was named the 2024 recipient of the Max Planck-Humboldt Medal for her work in computational imaging. The award will be presented by the Max Planck Society and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation on December 3rd in Berlin, Germany.

Record-Breaking Silicon Photonics LiDAR

BETR co-Director Prof. Ming Wu and his group developed a MEMS-based large-scale 16,384-pixel photonic LiDAR, which can be mass-produced in CMOS foundries. This work was published in the journal Nature.
