Alex Weber-Bargioni

Dr. Weber-Bargioni’s research revolves around understanding fundamental opto electronic processes at their native length scales. Specifically, he is focused on understanding and eventually controlling exciton transport through complex nano composites, such as small organic molecule semiconducting films, 1, 2, and 3-D nanocrystal assemblies and nanowire systems. This research requires the employment and development of novel microscopy techniques, based on the most recent advancements in plasmonics, near field imaging, and electronic structure and transport studies via scanning Probe Microscopy. Based on these novel microscopy techniques, Dr. Weber-Bargioni will pursue a novel approach to understand the underlying principles in photo catalytic reactions.
