Carla Benato Milsted received her degree in Physics from the Federal University of Paraná (Brazil). She is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree at the University of California, Berkeley, under the supervision of Dr. Ana Arias. She is working on the fabrication and characterization of organic solar cells.
Research
Carla’s research focuses on the deposition and optimization of photoactive layers in printed organic solar cells. Her work aims to advance scalable and environmentally friendly solar cell technologies by exploring new methods to improve the efficiency, stability, and manufacturing processes of these materials. By refining deposition techniques, such as solution processing and printing methods, she aims to enhance the performance of solar cells while keeping production costs low and ensuring environmental sustainability.
