Dr. Taehoon Kim is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, and a research affiliate in the Materials Science Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Yonsei University, Korea, in 2022. Taehoon joined the Javey Research Group in September 2024.
Research
Taehoon Kim’s research interests lie in the synthesis, characterization, and application of low-dimensional materials. His work focuses on exploring novel nanomaterials for electronic applications, including integrated sensors, electromagnetic absorbers, and electrical devices. Currently, he is investigating tellurium-based materials and their deposition techniques to optimize their multifunctional properties for advanced electronic applications.
