Dr. Mark Buckingham is a Postdoctoral research scholar in the department of Materials Science and Engineering at UC Berkeley. He previously studied an undergraduate masters degree from the University of Bath (2013 – 2017), followed by a PhD in thermoelectrochemical energy conversion at King’s College London (2017 – 2021). Between 2021 and 2025 Mark was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Manchester working on developing materials towards small molecule electrocatalysis. Mark joined the Al Balushi group in February 2025 at UC Berkeley.
